Tacoma, known for its industrial grit and vibrant arts community, has been home to Tacoma Glass Gallery & Fusing Studio for two decades. This year, we celebrate our 20th anniversary, marking a journey that goes beyond glassblowing to reflect the warmth of our community and the passion of our instructors.

Our story began in 2006 in downtown Tacoma, where we created a working hot shop that allowed the community to experience glassblowing firsthand. From the very start, we committed to making glass art accessible to everyone, believing that everyone deserves the chance to create.

As we grew and learned from our community, we recognized the demand for less labor-intensive forms of glass art. This led to the establishment of our Proctor District location, dedicated to glass fusing and other crafts such as resin art. This new space transformed our role by welcoming a broader audience, from families to aspiring young artists, and creating an environment focused on hands-on learning.

At the heart of our success is our team of skilled instructors, who are not only artisans but also exceptional teachers. Their expertise elevates our workshops, ensuring that participants leave with professional-quality art. They share essential techniques and insights, making the creative process both safe and rewarding.
